At Hartwell we acknowledge and celebrate ‘the whole child.’ We aim to develop each student academically, emotionally, socially and physically. Our program focuses on strong mental health and emotional intelligence.
Along with our school motto of ‘Strive for the Highest’, our Hartwell values of: Co-Operation, Optimism, Respect, Integrity and Empathy, the school community work together to create a positive climate and strong culture for learning.
We have put in place a teaching and learning program that includes the specific use of Circle Time and Restorative Practices, teaching Social Skills and Respectful Relationships and are a foundation school with the Resilience Program.
We have also implemented the Hartwell School Wide Positive Behaviour System to ensure we have common expectations across the whole school.
